Allen-Bradley Sensors deliver proven and predictable performance over the full life of the product. Our specialists develop and create reliable solutions to maximize the efficiency and performance of your machine or factory. The wide breadth of our component offering includes products to fit most applications.
Photoelectric sensors use a beam of light to detect the presence or absence of an object. This technology is an ideal alternative to inductive proximity sensors when you require long sensing distances or when the item you want to sense is non-metal. Our photoelectric sensors satisfy applications found in many industries, such as material handling, packaging, food processing, and transportation. For your specialized applications that require a non-standard connector or cable, we can customize the sensor connections.
Inductive Proximity Sensors detect metal objects without touching them. This technology is used in applications where the metal object to be detected is within an inch or two of the sensor face.
Capacitive Proximity Sensors can detect nonmetal solids and liquids in addition to standard metal targets. They can even sense the presence of some targets through certain other materials, making them an ideal choice in some applications where other sensing technologies simply will not work.
Ultrasonic Sensors are self-contained solid-state devices designed for non-contact sensing of solid and liquid objects. For many applications, such as monitoring the level of water in a tank, ultrasonic technology lets a single device to do a job that would otherwise require multiple sensors. Rockwell's sensors are available in several sensing ranges and styles with either an analog or discrete output depending on the model.
Limit Switches are electro-mechanical devices that consist of an actuator mechanically linked to a set of contacts. When an object comes into contact with the actuator, the device operates the contacts to make or break an electrical connection. Rockwell's limit switches work in a variety of applications and environments because of their ruggedness, simple visible operation, easy installation and reliable operation.
Encoders can electronically monitor the position of a rotating shaft. Rockwell?s Absolute Encoders are electro-mechanical devices that are useful feedback elements in closed-loop control systems. Rockwell's Incremental Optical Encoders provide low cost, smaller physical size, high frequency and high resolution.
Condition sensors communicate process variable information to automatically sequence equipment or provide a signal to operators for manual operation. Featuring electromechanical and solid-state solutions, Rockwell's condition sensors can lower your total operating costs by helping to improve processes and systems, reduce downtime, protect expensive equipment and safeguard operators.
Industrial Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems track and document products as they move through your manufacturing process. Reusable read and write tags provide flexibility in information and application.
In order to ensure that your sensors are mounted correctly and are running as efficient as possible, Rockwell offers the following accessories; Mounting Accessories, Reflectors, DIN Mounting Rail, Coupling Adaptors, Sealing Caps, and Power Supplies.
"On-Machine" is a control design philosophy that moves the industrial controls and hardware closer to the application or on the machine while minimizing the number of components in the cabinet. The link will bring you to Rockwell's On-Machine Catalog publication and hard copies can be obtained through our Literature Request form.
